Summer's here and our pool is a lovely (and quite opaque) olive green. It is...original? Certainly different.

Apart from those muddy waters (!), the dog days this year herald a season of deep changes. Our youngest is hitting fifteen, our eldest moves out a few days later, and then it's our second-born's turn in August. A lot of boxes in the house at the moment. Seems we're always in boxes for some reason or another.
You know how you set aside “stuff” you no longer use for that far-away apartment your kids will one day call home? We sifted through that a couple of weeks ago. Along with a few visits to yard sales and the obligatory trip to Ikea.
It's all very real—and yet quite fully unreal.
