Quarantine Day 12 | Stonehenge & Other Monuments
Anaïs turned fourteen this morning, but I forgot what day of the week it was; I thought we’d reached the weekend already. Fourteen is a big number in kids terms—an end and a beginning.
We still had a box of cake mix left in the cupboard so there’s cake coming. This anniversary will definitely be one for the books and we’re trying to make the best of it. The other big news is that we’ve reached the end of Jacob’s government imposed self-quarantine*. This won’t change our daily life much but we can at least breathe a sigh of relief for now. Final temperature: 35.7. All good.
The pictures below are from yesterday morning, shot with a lens I rarely use nowadays: the XF 18-55mm. I’ve always liked that lens. It’s such a solid performer, especially for its price range. I used it on the X-Pro3 with my DAIDO preset (pushed Acros), so these are all JPEG files processed in Capture one Pro 20.
A quick shout out to everyone who reached out about the free books: it really means a lot to me. And a special thank you to those of you who still decided to pay, in one form or another. I wasn’t expecting this at all and it’s certainly appreciated. A little touching too.
