Loud Vivid Blow-Out!
Those words, in that particular order, don’t make much sense. Plus, I believe this may be the very first exclamation point I’ve ever used in a post title. Wow! Whoa! Wait…I’m doing it again!
Call it a reaction. I had another type of article ready—images of the neighbourhood, an update on our situation, some choice words regarding defiance in the face of an enemy who couldn’t care less about yippee ki yay heroism. A mildly clever Zippo/Bruce metaphor thrown in for good measure. But then I looked out the window: March still in full force. Nothing but grays and browns and muddy clouds hovering just above ground level. And I thought, *@$# this. Let’s go full 1970s Cherry Blossom commercial

By which I mean colour and lots of it.
I used the old 60mm with the MCEX-11 converter to get as close as possible to various objects around the house. Even went with the Velvia simulation, a rare occurrence for me. A few multi exposures in the mix too.
Grab those shades...
P.S You may notice that, on top of the punctuation, I didn’t include the quarantine count in the title. As I mentioned last week, Jacob is now out of the danger zone, so there’s that. But if this is to be our reality for the weeks or possibly months ahead, then I also see little point in highlighting our predicament with every post. I’ll keep the metadata tags for the sake of having a clear record for the future, but otherwise I plan on writing the way I always have—close to immediate realities, sometimes tired, sometimes glad, sometimes hopeful and sometimes sad. No exclamation point next time—I promise.
