No Hollow Wave - Take II
No, it's not really available on vinyl…
Quick post today to announce the release of my album No Hollow Wave on various music platforms [1].
Some of you may remember this title from 2019, back when the project behind it was called Horse Machine (singular), but until now this particular album had only appeared on this website, and wasn't part of the available catalog.
Short story: I didn't like the way I'd overcompressed and EQ'd the original version, and wanted to do a quick remastering before sending it in. Long story: this took more time than anticipated, turned into a full-blown remix of all the songs, and became a lot more extensive. Over time the album transformed into something newer, with different pacing, revised artwork, even added material. I think it retains the urgency and grit of the original release, but I'm much happier with the way it sounds—less constricted and fuller, overall.
It's still my personal favourite, so I'm glad it's finally out.
