Shiny New HVAC
We spent the last couple of weeks in utter chaos, preparing for a heating system conversion (from oil to electricity).
Because, y’a know, all of this stuff lives in the basement, along with all that extra crap you hold on to—the old toys, and furniture, the appliances you keep for when the kids will leave the house. We’re pretty good at maintaining this under control, but still…natures hates a vacuum.
We didn’t need to empty the entire space—just enough of it to fill my studio and our tv room. Again.
There’s now a fine layer of gypsum dust over everything we hadn’t covered (I think we’ll be eating the stuff for months), but the job’s done. New electrical panel, new furnace, and the tank is gone as well, good riddance.
Our days of smoke and oil are behind us at last.
