Flexing & the Family in the Cab

It’s the first two images that matter most to me in this post: the family riding a cab, the sun beating down on the car’s windows, the quick glimpse into someone else’s intimacy.

But it’s the context too, especially on the first picture, with the woman crossing the street and the others in the background. A city, alive again, even on a Sunday.

They matter because I’ve missed those moments.
I’ve craved them, unknowingly.
The depth of them.
The chronology.

We were in Montreal, Anaïs and I, visiting Dawson College—her top choice for next year. We were early, so we walked around the neighbourhood, briefly, and I took a few shots with the X100F.

Remembering.
Flexing.
