The Graduates
Another era ends, marked and yet barely felt—it’s too surreal, almost impossible. Our youngest heads to secondary school next September, our oldest to CEGEP. For Jacob, it’s an important transition, but it won’t be transformative; Héloïse, however, will fully morph into someone else. Chrysalids and butterflies.
It’s funny how I still self-identify as “the dad with three young kids” when, in fact, we’ve now reached the point of infinite acceleration. That delusion will soon fade, I’m sure.
But for now there’s summer…
and the Canadiens, reaching for The Cup.
