May 6

I was reminded, a couple of days ago, of how brittle we are, of how easily the shell will crack. We’re all aware of it but it’s easy to forget. My good friend Kevin Mullins’s latest story on KAGE is titled One Life - Live It. It sums up nicely how much now matters.

I racked up another year on Wednesday, folks. Didn’t feel much different. Still healthy and in one piece. I was even supposed to get my first vaccine shot that day, but I switched the appointment to get an MRNA dose instead. I was fine with settling for Astra-Zeneca when no other choice was available, of course, but that situation changed right after I booked. Given recent news, our very closed circle, plus the fact that I have a history of allergic reactions, I decided a small delay was preferable. Besides, May 23rd isn’t that far off and that’s now set in stone. I’m looking forward to it.

These were shot this morning—yesterday (or later) as you read this post. Greens are gently swallowing our landscape again, finally. That last one? Remnants of the night before. You gotta have candles.

You just use less and less of ‘em...;)
