You Only Live Twice is playing. The original, sung by Nancy Sinatra—not the Bjork remake. I do like that one as well, but there’s something about the movie version that hits me every time. Such a short song too...you barely have time to get into it before it’s over.

There’s a metaphor in there somewhere.

The last post may have left some of you in the dark regarding our health situation. We’re all ok—and I do wish to thank everyone who reached out about this. The kids are all fine, we still haven’t been tested but so far so good. I was hit the hardest—by whatever bug this was—but I’m much better. Weirdly f%^#d up, but better. My cameras, however, have felt a tad lonely. I’d planned on going back to the city but that didn’t happen. And now we’re asked to avoid it altogether so...streets? They’re long black pathways full of cars and pedestrians right? We have those in the burbs too! Not so busy or interesting to shoot though.

Remember the seedlings? And then this? Well, the weather was calling for frost a few days ago (September???) so the girls did some harvesting. Not bad for a couple of seeds lifted from a plain ol’ supermarket tomato. I do believe we have sauce in our future.

I’ve been working quite a bit, despite everything, and I’ll be making a major announcement next week. Something I’ve hinted at a few times here and there. Until then, stay safe. And don’t catch whatever it is I caught—it ain’t fun.

P.S I co-hosted my friend Valerie Jardin’s podcast recently. We did a Q&A and chatted quite a bit. Always fun. Here’s the link in case you’re interested: Hit The Streets 171
