THE WANDER WORKSHOP
Awareness. Stories. Our place.
“Inspiration stems from the things we know, what we see and feel, what we need. It comes from the pulse of our lives, the words in our blood; from us and no one else. And it requires abandon.”
-
What is it?
A one-day 1:1 photography workshop focusing on seeing, awareness, and perception, using our camera as the ultimate attention machine.
It incorporates journaling, audio recording, and an art museum visit—because seeing continues beyond the click of a shutter. The idea here is to explore various elements that contribute to feed our work.
-
Where do we go?
No, really: our place.
I pick you up from the Longueuil Metro station*, we drive back to our little town on the shores of the Richelieu river, and spend the entire day here.
*If necessary. Otherwise we can meet at our house and have a quick coffee before heading out.

What do we do?
Morning is focused on capture: walking, various photography exercises, exploration, discussions, etc. After lunch, we sit down in my study and import the images. We then look at post-processing, storyboarding, visual narrative, and various Lightroom techniques and strategies.
a meditation on visual creation, and on interpreting the world around us.
