I am the passenger
The back of our car is a rare vantage point for me—I drive, most of time, and when I don't I sit in the passenger seat. But this isn't all that different...more legroom, with voices slightly out of reach. A makeshift bubble. CEGEP is now officially over and we're bringing Anaïs home for the summer. A signal not unlike a warm promise.
I've switched my X-Pro3 to shutter-priority, set it to 1/2000s. That's the sweet spot: enough to freeze the speeding landscape, but not always, and not completely. A slight jitter can still slip through, dreamlike if I'm lucky.
I'm a passenger today
and I ride and I ride...
