Bestiary

I'm cheating already.

Not on the premise, but the tech: I shot with the X-Pro2 these past couple of days. I've been archiving this blog, going through each year and screenshotting the posts using scrolling capture in Cleanshot X. It's a slow process but I do it in bits and pieces, whenever I find the time. Anyway, last week I stumbled on a post from 2016: X-PRO2, Acros & SOOC....

Those are "lit" images, which defines a look right off the bat—they're very dimensional, which certainly helps with the SOOC part of it. But it still brought me back, so I fired up the camera and set it up to ISO 2000, using the same in-cam settings. I never fell out of love with the X-Pro2, and there's an instant bond that forms when I wrap my fingers around it.

Cameras are the new film...

This post is part of the BLACKDOGEYES project: 90 days of shooting exclusively in black and white.
