The Flea Market
The Maricourt flea market is the real deal: a community-driven event that funds local projects, lovingly organized and staffed by volunteers. These are the clothes, the knickknacks and every day objects townspeople once loved—the jetsam of a dozen shipwrecks, washed up and offered for a pittance.
I look for old records but only find a few, nothing of interest. No typewriters either.
But the past is everywhere
a room full of echoes
and twilights.
It makes me smile.
