The 23 Mark II: First Outing PII

Indeed, the images I want to examine are the quite simple images of felicitous space.
— Gaston Bachelard, The Poetics of Space

All the old rhythms return, naturally and without fanfare—as if life never paused. We spend the day outdoors, hoping for a breeze and hugging the shade. I’ve seen it all before: the old Mercedes, parked for another winter, and vivid screaming greens, overwhelming; boardgames coming out as the day winds down; and the busyness of that small kitchen.

We’ve aged, but we barely notice. Because things are exactly as they should be.
