The resting place.
I hope you won't mind this rather shameless self-promoting detour... You see, after months of back and forth emails, broken promises and general messiness, I finally got out of my last record contract and all it's accompanying distribution deals a few months ago. For me this was the final nail in the coffin for anything relating to the music business (as a musician) and I was fine with it; still am.
But spending so many years, putting in so much effort on something only to see it vanish as though it never existed... It just didn't seem quite right. So I've decided to give the music - most of it anyway - a final resting place, right here on this website. I'm not listing it in the menu for obvious reasons but it's out there, my last will and testament so to speak. God I'm being dramatic aren't I? Let's just call it a repository then.
Some songs and albums are for sale, others are free but you can also stream the entire catalog if you just want to listen in, no strings attached. If you're interested, you'll find the mini site here: jadeleary.laroquephoto.com
Btw: that first image at the top is a redo based on last year's challenge with Robert Boyer. This time I used a single speedlight through a set of barndoors and shot with the 56mm f/1.2 mounted on the X-T1. Final settings: 1/180 sec at f/2.8, ISO 200. The image was processed from raw in LR5.
