By the river, waiting for a boat.
Jacob’s working and Anaïs prefers chilling at home. It’s Sunday, after all, nothing wrong with that. Here, by the river, in the fast warming sun, a small fanfare is playing. Five musicians, I think. They do Miles Davis at one point and I’m impressed—their arrangements are killer.
We wait and we wait but the boat is late. It’s a travelling show, going up and down the Richelieu, offering traditional music to anyone gathered on its shores. Héloïse runs around while we sit in a swing.
Suddenly, this feels a lot like summer.
