After a long walk through the woods and along the cascades, the clouds move in and the rain settles for the day — sometimes hard, sometimes just a mist; enough to keep us damp and miserable. The mosquitos and black flies reclaim their territories, vengeful and filled with insect rage.

We know when we've lost.
We're headed home.
