One | the basics.

It's a lazy summer. My son is home and the days all share a somewhat slow, sinking rhythm. But I'm also redesigning my entire studio space. Not just moving things around either: walls, floors, cyclo... the whole bit. It's going to be bigger and way more streamlined. At least that's the general idea.
I was about to put away the remaining pieces of equipment laying around and decided to take a few last shots with Jacob — in crazy hot 95° weather. I've been experimenting a lot in the past few months, with the X100 and various post-processing techniques. So I just felt like getting back to basics: D300, one SB-900 in a small Litedome overhead, basic toning in Aperture.
Sometimes it's good to remind ourselves we don't always need to over think.
Later
Update: Added two more shots

Very nice pictures!
Thanks. Fortunately he takes after his mother ;)
The first is my favourite one as well: I'm always a sucker for lots of negative space.
Thank you Antonio :)
