subdued | the crawling retreat.
Monday, October 24, 2011 at 12:30 PM
The wind howled for days, bright leaves swirling like fat orange snowflakes.
It howled and it yelled — and then silence fell.
Like a dome.
Nature begins her crawling retreat to caves
& hiding grounds.
Kids are kids, violent and wild and funny and sad. But today, even as they run through their imaginary jungles and fight their imaginary bears,
even as pandemonium erupts — as it always does
even now, it all feels mysteriously subdued.

Stunning images! Really beautiful! Not sure if my earlier post got through ok as it wasn't showing. I am seriously considering the X100 and was wondering whether your photos shown here are out of camera jpegs, post processed jpegs or post processed raw files. Also, if you don't mind me asking, what's your workflow in Aperture (i presume)?
Thanks :)
No, I didn't see any previous posts… Something must've glitched somewhere.
I've written several posts on how I use the X100. You'll find a lot of info under the Everything X100 menu and in the ensuing discussions as well. Long story short: all post-processed JPEGs in Aperture 3.
Check out the Dissecting the Look article. It'll give you a pretty good idea of the way I work.
If you have any questions don't be shy!
Best
Hi. Just wanted to say thank you for pointing me towards the Dissecting the Look article. I'm fairly new to Aperture but will try out some of your techniques! Thanks again.
@RIzwan: Glad to help :)
