During the summer of 2011 we spent fifteen days in France, moving south from Paris until eventually stopping in Nice, on the famed Côte d'Azur. But this alone wasn't a transforming agent. As a photographer what sent my entire world into a tailspin was this small camera I had purchased a few months prior, in preparation for the trip: the original Fujifilm X100.
This book is a travelogue of sorts, revisiting images that triggered my eventual move to the X Series cameras and a different way of seeing the world around me. It features several previously unpublished images that were unearthed during the editing process.
Also included are seven case studies offering a glimpse into the processing of the images as well as reflexions on some of the moments that were captured.
